ONDŘEJ VOSTATEK TOOK 6TH PLACE AGAIN IN ARAGON

Since Thursday's training sessions, there had been very high temperatures in Aragon, which climbed up to 40 degrees. From the first training until Sunday's race, Ondřej and his Igax team were looking for their optimal motorcycle settings. Of course, the changes brought about increased speed, but there was still no reason for satisfaction. In the qualifying sessions, Ondřej earned 7th place on the starting grid and was very disappointed. The goal was to start from the first or second row, which he unfortunately missed at the very last moment.

Ondřej had an excellent start in the race and made contact with the leading group, where he was able to stay for three laps, but he slowly began losing contact thereafter and raced alone for the remainder of the race. After one race disqualification, he eventually finished in the 6th place.

After the race, Ondřej Vostatek said "The track in Aragon is one of my favourites and I enjoy it a lot, so I believed I would achieve a good result. Unfortunately, this did not happen. We were continuously changing the motorcycle settings and, even though I managed to increase the speed, my competitors were still performing better. I started the race well and made contact with the leading group. However, they were much faster on the straight and pulled several metres away from me to disrupt the slip stream. After three laps they had already ridden away to a distance that meant I was no longer able to catch them. I then remained alone for the rest of the race unable to participate in the fight for a better position, and I'm quite disappointed. However, I will continue working to do my best, but some things just take time. I want to thank my team, Igax, for their continued efforts to drive me forward, to my parents, and to all of our partners and friends who support me."
